Volunteer Career Speakers Needed

Project Launch Newton is actively seeking volunteers who would like to talk about their careers or unique hobbies to the children enrolled in Project Launch Newton. We are particularly seeking those with skills in science, technology, engineering, math, marketing, nutrition, and the fine and performing arts.

Volunteers will give two, 30-minute presentations to groups of students at the Halsted Middle School, with the aim of helping kids understand more about opportunities available to them outside their own limited experience. Presentations are generally scheduled for Friday afternoons, from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Teens and adults who would like to share their skills with the children at both the Merriam Avenue and Halsted schools are also welcome.

The Project Launch Newton staff is grateful for the time and talent offered by our volunteers.
